Production factor animal health – Challenge for the risk management in life stock production

Breeders face great challenges in life stock production. The sequels of the concurrence of animal and energy production, the globalisation of epidemics, the climate changes, increasing herd size as well as the policy to reduce zoonoses and to improve animal welfare are discussed according to contamination risk of feed stuff by mycotoxines and Salmonella, infection risks, profit losses and biosafety.
